Overview

As a Product Designer on our team, you will be part of a dynamic, diverse, and collaborative group of design, research, and content experts who are passionate about solving complex design challenges and delivering delightful experiences to commercial customers and consumers.

You will be responsible for exploring, designing, prototyping, testing, and delivering best-in-class experiences across a wide range of business areas. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other designers to understand user needs, define design requirements, and iterate on feedback. Responsibilities

  • You will collaborate with Engineering and perform QAs to ensure design quality. Under guidance, you’ll also contribute to visual designs by producing the visual language for a product.
  • With direction, you will create wireframes, journey maps, user scenarios, and other design elements to support interaction design. You’ll also participate in product UX improvements by creating interaction models.
  • You will clearly communicate your work to peers and managers within your immediate team. Working alongside a senior team member, you will also create a compelling narrative for a specific product or feature.
  • You will help creative team members, program managers, and developers define product features. You’ll participate in one study at a time as you help deliver product design results.
  • You will help craft new design components and refine our design systems
  • You will work directly with Program Managers, Engineers, and other product team members to deliver high quality Design work to be built and shipped to the world.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial design, Product Design, UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field
    1. OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).
    2. OR 0-2+ years of designing high quality digital product experiences end-to-end
    3. OR 1-2 years of Internship experience designing high quality digital product experiences
  • Experience with industry standard design tools (Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, After effects as examples)

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Master's degree in industrial design, Product Design, UX Design, Human Computer Interaction,
    1. OR related field AND 1+ year(s) of relevant internship/work experience working in product
    2. OR service design
    3. OR bachelor's degree in industrial design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction,
    4. OR related field AND 2+ years of related work experience working in product
    5. OR service design
    6. OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems).
  • Experience designing for
    1. Web, Mobile, and Desktop Consumer experiences
    2. Complex B2B products
    3. Visual/Graphic Design experience
  • Additional Preferred Design Skills
    1. Prototyping experience using industry standard tools (After Effects, Protopie, or similar)
    2. Motion Graphics experience
