Carpenter Apprentice

$18.00 - $24.00 Hourly

At EJH Construction, we specialize in residential and commercial remodels, restoration, and custom construction projects. Our team values quality craftsmanship, teamwork, and professional growth. We’re seeking a motivated Carpenter Apprentice eager to build on their existing job site experience, develop carpentry skills, and grow into a skilled carpenter role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced carpenters with the installation, repair, and construction of wood, metal, and other building materials
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials under supervision
• Safely use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Support job site setup, clean-up, and material handling
• Participate in nationwide projects lasting 1–3 weeks
• Complete local work during non-travel periods
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standard

Qualifications

• 2+ years construction job site experience required
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally for short-term assignments (1–3 weeks at a time)
• Willingness to learn and work under the guidance of skilled carpenters
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude
• Valid Drivers License & Ability to operate motor vehicles

Essential Physical & Cognitive Requirements

• Continuous lifting, pulling, pushing of objects
• Ability to individually lift and/or carry 50lbs
• Ability to multi-task, read, write, calculate data have reliable & predictable attendance
